Designer 

Renowned Belgian architect and designer Vincent Van Duysen began his impressive career in 1985, working with esteemed figures such as Cinzia Ruggeri and Aldo Cibic-Sottsass Associati in Milan. In 1990, Van Duysen established his own studio in Antwerp, embarking on a diverse range of projects across Belgium, Europe, the Middle East, and the US. His portfolio encompasses interiors, buildings, private residences, apartment complexes, office concepts, retail spaces, and more, showcasing his versatility and creativity.

Van Duysen’s expertise extends beyond large-scale projects, as he is also recognised for his exceptional design of smaller objects and furniture for international design houses.

Throughout his career, Van Duysen has remained dedicated to nurturing a profound connection between architecture, interior design, and product design. His projects demonstrate a seamless integration of these disciplines, while always striving for essential spatial design. Rejecting fleeting trends and fashion, Van Duysen’s architectural language embraces timeless aesthetics.

Vincent Van Duysen has been honoured with numerous accolades, including the Flemish Culture Prize for Design and the prestigious Belgian Designer of the Year Award, reflecting his remarkable contributions to the field of design.

Materials

Polypropylene shell

The polypropylene used for the shell is licenced ‘CSI plastic from byproduct’ according to specific rules for the certification of recycled plastics and recycled plastic products.

Recycled polypropylene shell available in 5 colours: cream white, midnight blue, grey-green, oxyde red and nude. Also available with an upholstered shell.

Frame

Solid ash wood – natural varnished

Solid ash wood – black lacquered

Solid ash wood – walnut colour stained

Black lacquered steel (ral 9005)

Monocolors (base and polypropylene shell): cream white, midnight blue, grey-green or nude. Monocolor chairs have solid wooden beech legs, lacquered in the same colour as the polypropylene shell.
