Originally trained as a cabinetmaker, Claus Jakobsen emerged as a prominent figure in the Danish design scene after graduating from the esteemed Danish School of Design in 2004. Throughout his career, Jakobsen has solidified his position as a major force in the industry.
For eight years, Jakobsen served as the Design Manager at HAY, where he led the design department. Following this, he spent another three years as the Product Manager at Muuto, contributing significantly to the revitalization of the Danish furniture and design sector. His portfolio boasts a remarkable collection of modern design classics.
In 2015, Jakobsen partnered with his longtime friend and fellow Design School graduate, Jens Kajus, to establish the Copenhagen-based design studio, Million. Their shared vision revolves around creating meticulously crafted pieces tailored to human scale, utilizing materials of unparalleled quality, and adhering to a precise design aesthetic. Their collaborative efforts have resulted in numerous signature designs that have been incorporated into prestigious projects worldwide.
In 2021, Claus Jakobsen joined CHAT BOARD as the Head of Design, leading the company’s transformation towards a design-centric approach. He spearheads the company’s mission to provide beautiful, innovative, and functional solutions to the dynamic working world.
