David Geckeler and Frank Michels met while studying design and went on to establish their studio together in 2013. “We realized we each needed a sparring partner,” Michels explains. After all, as Geckeler puts it, “Design is a dialogue.” Based in Berlin, the duo approaches every project with curiosity—asking questions, exploring emerging technologies, and testing different material possibilities. The result is work that feels bold, refined, and distinctly sculptural.
